1: A Latin term, loosely meaning "of the fact". An adjective describing something that exists or happens as a result of tradition or culture. Not normally used as an urban slang term, but as a historical/legal phase

1: Someone who acts as the leader of the group, without having any votes to assign them to that position. They are the ones who keep the group together and makes all the difficult decisions.

1: a person who is too poor or lazy to cook anything other than rice or pasta

  * e.g.,  ... PETA rep: You should become vegan, hurting animals is bad.

1: De Facto- means "in effect" or "in practice"

  * e.g.,  ... Observant Teenager: What's the deal with Ben and Mimi? I always see them hanging out but I hear that they're not dating.

2: Relationship- A "romantic" connection between two people

  * e.g.,  ... Someone Who Knows Whats Up: They've got a pretty good De Facto Relationship going but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it's legit.

3: A De Facto Relationship is when two people are essentially dating but they haven't made it "official" and claim that they are not an item when asked by other people. De Facto Couples engage in all of the activities that a normal couple would, such as constantly hanging out with each other and hooking up on a regular basis (usually, but not always, while intoxicated). Such relationships do not often endure for over a month because, by that time, they have either dissolved or have been made official. The De Facto is somewhat common in American high schools.

4: The De Facto Relationship is not to confused with a short lived relationship that is purely physical. This would most often be labeled as Fuck Buddies.

5: It is also not to be confused with a relationship that involves the dub group De Facto (however rad that may be).

1: When residents of a country are free to work or not work however due to their situation and money hardships they are forced to work in government created jobs which are usually not pleasant and do not pay well

  * e.g.,  ... A great example of de facto slavery is the "free trade zones" in Jamaica... set up by the United States government and companies like Tommy Hilfiger where Jamaican citizens were forced to work and taxed heavily. Even though the United States government created the free trade zone they pay the Jamaican workers in Jamaican money which is at less value than U.S. currency.

1: Someone who has only slept with prostitutes. Probably suffers from a lot of social anxiety/social isolation. Not necessarily ugly/fat. Often lives a sheltered existence. In said person's desperation, he sometimes seeks the companionship/instant gratification of hookers. May as well be a virgin.

  * e.g.,  ... Tim has paid for sex but has never had sex with a real girl before. Tim is a de facto virgin.
